True change lies in big numbers
But we will be doing this with a healthy dose of realism too. Because change requires momentum. And if you were to produce 100% sustainable upholstery fabrics that hardly anybody could afford, next to nothing would change. Truly impactful change will only take place once lots of people can afford sustainable products.
Therefore we are committing to a formula that sounds simple but is hard to put into practice: an optimal balance between price, quality and sustainability. We do this by producing sustainable innovations in large volumes. Because as we all know, large volumes mean lower prices.
That is how we offer affordable – and thus attainable – sustainable fabrics to our customers and our customers’ customers.
Transparent about our impact
We want to be completely transparent and make sure that everybody knows what the fabric is made from and how it was made. We genuinely want to understand our impact and therefore we will be measuring the footprint of our fabrics. We will share the results in a clear and simple way, using understandable pictograms and charts based on a thorough Life Cycle Analysis.
Our fabrics currently contain more than 50% recycled materials and we are working towards using 100% sustainable components by 2025.
